Crave Energy Drink
May 6, 2008

So I’ve chosen my company by using the “5 Pillars”. Now I just had to decide which product I wanted to primarily promote. Vitamark has a number of brilliant products. I’ve already tried a number of the products and use 3 regulary. Another product hopefully has already made an amazing impact on both myself and my wife’s life, something I will explain later. I’m waiting for some special news before fully explaining, but all will be revealed in future posts. Needless to say it has confirmed my believe that this company produces high quality products that simply have the power to effect people’s lives..
But the product I’ve started promoting is the Crave Energy Drink. The company have only just released this product so it is practically brand new onto a huge and expanding market place..
The energy drinks market is already a $billion industry. People from all walks of life be it young or old are starting to drink energy drinks. When you think of Energy drinks you usually think of Redbull. And righly so, they are the pioneers of the energy drink and have already created the Brand and gained a huge market share.
So Why Choose Crave what is so different about Crave??
Crave comes in powder from distributed in convenient stick packs or sachets. Simply add the contents of the sachet into a bottle or glass of water, shake or stir and you have a delicous ready energy drink that will provide 4-6 hours of incredible energy..
The Big advantages of crave are:
No Crash
No Headaches
No Jitters
No artificial sweeteners
Less than 1 Gram of sugar
Only 9 Calories
Put simply the reason why I’m leading with this product is, it is healthier, cheaper and more convenient
to use than most if not all of the energy drinks currently in the market and being sachet form and not canned it is creating its own place in the market.
Now I just need to find people to who would like to sample the Crave Energy drink for themsleves..
How I Decided which Company to Join
April 14, 2008
The previous postings I covered the 5 factors which you need to consider when choosing a Network Marketing company:
1. Management with Experience and Integrity
2. Timing in Company and Timing in the Industry
3. Compensation Plan
4. Product that is Remarkable
5. A Duplicable System
I have chosen to join a Company called Vitamark for the following reasons.
1. The Chairman is Tom “Big Al” Schreiter. Tom is an MLM legend and respected throughout the Network Marketing industry. He has over 30+ years experience in Network Marketing . Reading through the companies Policies & Procedures I was pleased to discover it was only 4 pages long and written very simply. Its a great example of what to look for. To read them click P&P’s
2. Vitamark was founded in 2002. Hence it has been going for more than 2 years and it just about to go through its exponential growth phrase. A recent new product launch can only help this.
3. I really liked the look of the compensation plan. There are no restrictions and best of all after crunching the numbers I’ve worked out that I will only need 350-400 people in my Network to be earning £5000/$10,000 a month. In my previous company I needed over 2,300 people to earn this sort of money so I’m very excited about this compensation plan..
4. The company has a number of high quality products but it is a new product that has me extremely excited. Its a Energy Drink called Crave which has only just been launched. The crave energy drink market is massive and growing daily.
5. The icing on the cake is the Team I have joined has a Duplicable Marketing System that has prospects contacting me, it is very easy to learn, very easy to teach and therefore is duplicable…
There are not many Network Marketing companies that satisfy all of the 5 pillars so I’m extremely happy that I have managed to find one. Having the 5 pillars in place gives me a fantastic opportunity to really make a success of Network marketing and realising my goal of getting my LIFEBACK…
Pillar 5 – A Duplicable System
March 31, 2008
Finally the last piece of the jigsaw. Pillar 5 is probably the most important factor apart from Pillar 1.
To succeed in Network marketing it is essential that the company you choose has a Proven Duplicable System.
Why is this??
Well in my first company although I had little help from my direct upline, because I went to business meetings I became friends with one of our Companies most successful distributors (Lets call him John). The guy was amazing, he had so much charisma, a larger than life character, he would talk to anybody at anytime, he would call people at 10pm in the evening and not think twice. Initially I thought, I needed to be like him, develop a thick skin, talk to anyone and everyone you meet. But do you know what, I just couldn’t do it. It was so unnatural for me and it felt uncomfortable, I just wasn’t being me.
But if I couldn’t be like John and just talk to everyone and everyone how was I to succeed, I’m sure there must be thousands of people out there who have the same feelings I had. But it wasn’t until I read the E-book “Success in 10 Steps” that I realised that there was another way.
One of the best things I have learnt is this. John was and still is incredibly successful but he’s a one off, John just isn’t duplicable. You just can’t teach someone to be like John.
I thought to really succeed in MLM you had to be like John. Thankfully you don’t what you need is a proven duplicable system. You can learn and understand and then teach a system, systems can be duplicated.
So what I was looking for was a Network Marketing company that had a proven duplicable system that that I could learn. A system that would have people coming to me and a system that I can teach my downline so they can duplicate everything that I have done. If a company doesn’t have such a system then I’d have to be like John and I’ve already admitted I can’t be..
So there you have it. The 5 pillars that a company must have in order for the vast majority of network marketers to be successful..
To learn more about the above factors you can download the E-book here: Successin10Steps..
Pillar 4 – Product that is Remarkable
March 24, 2008
Most network marketers are told or believe they have to look for a product that they love. Well I disagree, ideally what you really want is a product that lots of other people really love.
My mentor described it best, you could be evaluating a company whose main product helps people with diabetes. I might not be a diabetic myself, but I know there is a huge market of people looking for alternative ways of regulating there blood sugar levels.
So I’m looking for a product with a HUGE market, a product that people will buy even if there wasn’t a compensation plan attached..
Pillar 3 – Compensation Plan
March 18, 2008
Having the right compensation plan is vital for any Network marketer to succeed.
This is something I completely missed in my previous companies. In my day job, I know exactly how much I earn, annually, monthly, weekly, hourly, my overtime rate etc etc. With my first Network marketing opportunity I hadn’t a clue how much I could be earning. I just never crunched the numbers.
Ideally I want a compensation plan that allows me to place people in my downline. I think this is essential for building relationships, trust and encouragement. Talking of figures, did you know the average network marketer sponsors only 2.7 people. I except the majority of people in my downline are going to be average. Therefore I’m going to forget any compensation plans that requires an affliate to sponsor 3 or more people to receive a pay cheque. ie I will not be considering any matrix compensation plans. These require more than 3 on your frontline. O.K I’m confident I can sponsor more than 3 people but I’m not confident the rest of my downline will. So if they didn’t and therefore didn’t recieve a commision payment they will almost cetainly quit.. Likewise I won’t be considering any Uni-level plans for exactly the same reason as above.
I’ve been looking for a compensation plan that pays commission for retailing a product, not for recruiting people. Sure you want to be earning commission from your downline, but on the products they sell, not for just recruiting them. Otherwise your basically in a Pyramid scheme which is not only illegal but when the recruiting stops you pay cheque stops..
Finally I learnt a great tip when evaluating any compensation plan whatever type it is. Choose a residual income target you want to aim for then I was told to work out the average income you can recieve from a distributor/affiliate in your downline. Ideally my first main target is to generate £5000($10,000) a month of residual income. Take that figure and divide it by the average commision for any distributor. I now have the simple answer as to how many distributors I need in my downline to earn £5,000($10,000) a month. Some companies you need upto 10000 people and other companies it is as low as 350. Given the choice of the above 2 examples I know which compensation plan I want be working with. As I said before this is something I failed to do first time around and I’m not alone, the vast majority of Network marketers just fail to crunch the numbers.. I will not be making the same mistake again!!
Next up Pillar 4 - ”A Duplicatable System”……..
Pillar 2
March 12, 2008
The second factor to look for when researching a company is:
Timing in the Company – Timing in the Industry
People always think they have to be in at the start to really make it big in Network Marketing. From my research I have discovered that over 90% of all Network Marketing companies go bust in the first 2 years!! Can you imagine working your whats’its off for 2 years only to see your monthly residual income disappear because the company has folded.
So I decided to look for a company that has been established for at least 2 years but hasn’t gone through its major growth phase.
Timing in the industry is also important. The first MLM company I joined was service orientated. A great company the provided great services, one of which was Broadband internet. Initially the company could massivelly undercut other competitors and signing up customers was no problem. But then other major competitors entered the market and they undercut my company. Before we knew we were in the middle of a price war. As such not only is it now much harder to sign up customers the price decreased dramatically and so did our commissions. A very similar event happened in long distance telecommunications a few years back. Again initially huge savings could be made by by changing suppliers from the old state run companies. Now you can pretty much get long distance calls for free.. How are you going to convince somebody to change services to your company when they already get it for free!! Plus where is your commission coming from??.
I am therefore in future to going to stay clear of all technology and service based industries. What is an amazing product or service today could be outdated or free in 1 years time. It comes back to my mentor Michael Dlouhy’s comment in the E-book “Success in 10 Steps”.
Build it once, build it right, so it pays your childrens children…
I’ve made a couple of bad choices of company in the past, I don’t intend to again..
Deciding Which Network Marketing Company To Join
March 9, 2008
After reading the E-Book Success in 10 Steps I realised it was paramount that I found a Network Marketing company that gave me the best chance of success. I listened to a fantastic training call, named the 5-Pillars which explained exactly what you need to look for in a company for “YOU” to be successful. There is a big difference between You being successful and the company being successful..
So what are the 5 Pillars (or factors) you need to be looking for..
Pillar 1 – Management with Experience and Integrity.
You want the management running your Network Marketing Company to have experience in the Network Marketing industry. Ideally they at some point were once on the front line, they have experience building their own network. They know and understand how the distributors/affliatiates feel, the frustrations felt the motivations required.. They have the distributors best interests at heart.. Once you have found the management do some research on them. Google them, find out what previous experience they have had. Some management have no experience, they’ve come in from running some bit corporate company and all there looking for is how to maximise profit for the company.. One way to do this is maximise the “Breakage” of the compensation plan, this is something I’ll explain later but simply means finding ways to avoid paying the distributors.
So how do you decide whether they have integrity. Well you previous research should help. Now you need to read the Policy and Procedures.. This is something I never did with my first company and it is so vital that you do. A quick pointer, the shorter the P&P’s the better. 3,4,5 pages any longer and you seriously need to be reading carefully. Since i’ve been armed with this knowledge I have seen P&P’s of some companies as high as 50/60+ pages.. What are they or there lawyers hiding??? Look out for key phrases like “termination”, “on-going sales”. Start from the back if they are long as the its at the back where all the key clauses are written.. You don’t want to spent 3 years build a big network, having a nice residual cheque coming in only to have it all taken away by some clause in the P&P’s.
Summary
Read the Policy and Procedures and research the management team. Ideally the P&P’s about 3-10 pages long and the management have experince in the industry…
Pillar 2 – To follow…..
My Story So Far…
February 27, 2008
Today instead of writing much, I’ve downloaded a video from Youtube for you to watch. This is a story of my Network Marketing career so far. It explains why I fell into network marketing, why I struggled with my first company and why I am now so confident I can really achieve my goal of getting my “Lifeback”.
Video marketing is something I’m currently researching, studying and experimenting with. With guidance from my upline and an expert in Internet marketing I hope to use this as a major tool in building my business. There will be more on Video marketing in future posts..
I hope you enjoy the video..
My “Why”
February 17, 2008
I have learnt from my mentor and especially Michael Dlouhy the author of the E-Book Success in 10 Steps, the importance of having a “Why”.
He has explained to me how it is essential that not only do you have a “WHY” but anyone who joins your network must also have a Why.
Like any business venture there are going to highs and lows. During the low periods when times get tough or slow, things don’t go your own way, someone lets you down, you will need your “Why”. Its your one (unique to you) defining motivational factor that keeps you going through the hard times. When self doubt appears you can always go back to your “Why”. It has to be a good “Why”. If your “Why” is powerful enough it will always prevent you from quitting. It is you light at the end of the tunnel, the promised land or more appropriately the promised life.. The reason why you are putting in this extra work, calling people in the evenings, reading books, listening to training calls developing yourself. Its crucial you have this.
So this is my “Why”:
I have the most amazing family, not just my wife, my beautiful daughter Gemma, but I’m lucky to have the most amazing parents. I want the time to be able to spend with them. There in the mid sixties now so lets face it they probably with a bit of luck have maybe 20 years left. That isn’t long. We’ve just been on holiday to Florida with them and had the most wonderful time. To see there faces while there playing with Gemma, teaching her to swim etc is amazing. I got to play 3 rounds of golf with my Dad. On the Golf course just me and my dad, competing fiercely or just chatting about life, are some of my favourite times. With a conventional job when the next time we can all do this, next year if we can afford it?? So that is a maximum of 20 times we can do this.. That isn’t a lot is it??
My sister lives in Vancouver which is a beautiful city. Problem is it is 10,000 miles away!! She has 2 daughters my special nieces Charlie & Lulu . Realistically the most we can hope to see each other again with a conventional job is probably once a year. I love my Sis and love spending tiem with and I am desperate to see her more than once a year…
I also want to watch my daughter grow up, be a major part of her up bringing rather than the guy who just pays the bills and see’s her sparingly in the first years of her life.
There is an amazing world out there. I’ve been fortunate enough to have visited many countries in my youth but there are so many more places I want to explore.
For me its all about Time freedom which comes from achieving finacial freedom. I’m not particulary materialistic. Flash cars and fancy clothes don’t really interest me. Its the things you can do with your time that does. Like playing a round of golf with dad. Walking in the countryside as a family. Playing tennis with Loveday, coaching the local junior cricket team, weekends away with friends and exploring different countries .
I can clearly picture the time when I will be able to have the time and financial freedom to enjoy these special moments on a regular basis. Nothing important is ever easy but throughout all the hard work, late nights etc, I will always have my “Why” at the back of my mind.
Having my “Why” constantly there will ultimately help acheive my goal of getting my “Lifeback”….
Feel free to E-mail me your “WHY” at tim@timloveridge.com it always helps to write it down. 90% of people who start a business never write down their reasons.. If you do its a very very good indicator..
Getting my Lifeback with Crave
February 8, 2008
Hi
My name is Tim Loveridge, I live in a city called Leeds in the UK. I’ve been married for 4 years to Loveday. (Yes that is her name, coupled with my surname it usaully gets a grin !!). We have beautiful daughter called Gemma who is 16 months old.
So why am I starting this blog??
I’ve been in Network Marketing for 3 years with varying degrees of success, but recently I have read the most amazing E-Book that has changed my whole perspective and Outlook on this industry. I have previously built quite a good part time income but never managed to take it to the next level. The E-book and the subsequent training I received has provided me with the required education to realise why I and so many other have failed to succeed in the great industry. Why the reason is not our fault. But most importantly what I need to do to succeed.
With all the knowledge gained I have joined a Network Marketing company that will “ALLOW” me to achieve all my goals.
This Blog is going to be a running diary of my progress with this company. I will reveal new training methods I learn and put into practice. Ideas and education I pick up along the way. The Ups and downs of my journey. Lessons learnt and success’s celebrated.
Hopefully culminating in my eventual goal of “Financial Freedom”, free from the dependence of other employers or as I like to put it………… “Getting my Life Back”
If you would like to read the E-Book I was referring to, you can download it for FREE by clicking on the link here: MLM Secrets
I hope you enjoy reading all the fascinating information as much as I did.
